When your gym routine becomes a little monotonous and you find yourself struggling to think of what you can do to re-invigorate your regime, group training sessions may just be the thing to give you that much needed motivational boost.
Here are some reasons to try group sessions;
- An abundance of motivation: motivation is all around you. Having so many people in the same boat as you, working hard, challenging themselves to achieve will only motivate you to push yourself harder and faster. You may find yourself being competitive with others or if you are not a competitive person the mutual support from your fellow sufferers can spur you on. The trainer leading the class will also give you that extra push to do that one extra rep or that extra kilo that you wouldn’t have done on your own.
- Personal Trainer led: the trainer will create the structure of the session so you don’t have to think about it, you can just turn up. Your trainer has all the technical knowledge and application skills so you can concentrate on working hard. They will make sure your technique is good to so you are less likely to get injured.
- Variety: there are a number of sessions to attend, all with a different focus so you will not get bored. You will also gain knowledge of exercises you can transfer in to your gym workout keeping things fresh.
- Community spirit: group sessions are also a great way to meet people who have similar interests to you and even you may find yourself a gym buddy to meet up with and train together.
