Our Scholarship Programme
Kept Fit, alongside support from three local businesses: Bark Street Digital, ARC Costs and Legal Practice Support; have put together a funding and training package to provide a Scholarship Programme for three young athletes in the local community.
A total of three candidates will be chosen from the applications received, and will receive the following benefits:
- A fully funded gym membership to KeptFit for 12 months
- Unlimited access to the gym and classes
- Regular personal training sessions and a bespoke workout programme, courtesy of our Head Coach, Alex Youngman.
The Scholarship has been established as a means of assisting those most in need due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic. Young people have been particularly effected as a result of the isolation suffered by numerous lockdowns, causing an increase in both physical and mental health problems. Maintaining good fitness levels and participating in regular exercise has been shown to significantly improve both physical and mental health, and the successful candidates’ progress will be monitored and reported on so that others in the local community can follow their athletic development and replicate their training methods. Successful candidates will represent the local community focus of KeptFit, and must demonstrate their commitment to the Scholarship Programme throughout the 12 month period so that the maximum benefits can be achieved.
As part of the KeptFit ethos of “training without fear of judgment or limitation”, applications will be accepted from candidates of all backgrounds subject to the following eligibility criteria:
- Aged 14-18
- Must be able to attend the KeptFit gym on a regular basis for training
