Alex “The Smile” Youngman – Director, Personal Trainer and Coach:
From rugby player to proud dad, fierce friend and exceptional husband, I am driven by movement and the inability to sit still and do nothing. I work hard, train hard and play like a child. I love training, being a dad and husband and set up Kept Fit, with my business partner, in order to keep those things possible and comfortable as long as I can.
I have various qualifications, the main being that I am a Level 3 YMCA Personal Trainer and UKSCA member (soon to be accredited).
I train individuals and groups from children to adults who are all alike for different reasons. I believe that people train harder and push themselves more in a group than they would on their own so we’re creating an environment where its hard to hide, where there is competition to be the best you can be but where there is also a real sense of community.
I will get the best out of you and I will do it with a massive grin and an understanding that I know exactly how you feel but I will still make you do it and then maybe push you some more!

Alex “Monkey” Richmond – Personal Trainer:
I’m fun, energetic and a very happy person.
I’m a qualified photographer turned personal trainer. My passion for the gym came apparent when I went travelling after university and missed the gym more than home itself. Within a couple of months being back in the gym it was clear to me that this was my vocation.
I enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone and challenging myself to see what I can achieve and so as a trainer you can expect me to push you to your maximum. When I train clients I get a proud feeling of achievement because I know I can help you accomplish goals that you would never have imagined through a workout that you won’t regret.

“Magic Mike” Crouch – Personal Trainer, Coach:
My passion is Strength and Conditioning and Olympic Lifting and I have 5 years coaching experience working with both elite and amateur athletes in a variety of sports. With a BSc (Hons) In Sport Science and an MSc in Exercise Science I strive to apply the latest research and methods to everything I do. My aim is to design bespoke programmes to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals, whatever they are.
I believe that the general public and amateur athletes should be treated the same and have the same training methods and monitoring strategies as elite athletes.
I firmly believe that you will only get out what you put in: Passion, Persistence and Performance ….. so if you think you have got what it takes and you want a free taster of what’s in store at KEPT Fit just get in touch.
“Chef” John Wilkinson – Nutritionist:
I have been working with food for the last 16 years; the last 8 of those has been focused on exercise and nutrition; gaining an understanding of the constant battle we face as a NATION with food, diet, exercise and lifestyle choices. So if you take anything from this blog, remember you are not on your own.
For the past 6 years I have been working as a PT in a physiotherapy clinic working with clients on weight loss, preparation for endurance events, rehabilitation from injury and diet plans.
For the last 3 of those years I have been studying a Nutrition science honours degree (BSC) at UCLAN where I have been working with the coaching and nutritionist team at Wigan Warriors.
I will be joining forces with KEPT Fit during 2016 to develop nutrition and diet plans for clients looking to train to lose or gain weight or just to eat more healthily.
If you would like to join us for a free taster of what I and KEPT Fit can offer then just get in touch.
